West Valley City, Utah - The E Center
This event is usually mistaken for a rodeo, and it's very far from that. A rodeo is more of a general, more broad representation of multiple events: bronco riding, calf roping, steer wrestling, barrel riding, and of course bull riding. But bull riding in a rodeo is just a portion of the event, and doesn't usually contain the highly rated bulls or bull riders that is manifested in The PBR.
The PBR is a top million-dollar international event that only focuses on bull riding. The bulls are rated, the bull riders are rated, it's just like a football or soccer league for any other sport.
In Salt Lake City, we were proud to have the top rated riders who did a fabulous job and eventually became the top four in the world:
- Justin McBride (2007 World Champion)
- J.B. Mauney
- Clayton Williams
- and Guilherme Machi (2005 World Champion)
And of course, we couldn't forget to recognize the top rated PBR bulls that make it all happen:
- Troubadour
- Smokeless Wardance
- Grey Dog
- Big Bucks
All that can be said about the PBR is that it's intense, and don't you dare call it a rodeo!
